John Alderman

John Alderman is a writer and experience strategist whose work explores communication, perception, immersive experience, and technological change.

His career began in the cyberculture era at Mondo 2000 and HotWired, and has since moved through journalism, authorship, design strategy, and multimodal interaction design — always focused on how new systems become meaningful, usable, and understandable in human terms.

He is the author of Sonic Boom and Core Memory, and co-author of Designing Across Senses. He teaches at Stanford's d.school and co-leads Alderman+Ward.
